The mainstay of the Soviet armed forces, the trooper squadrons are tasked with defending the motherland from all foreign invaders. With the demand for experienced soldiers always outstripping supply, trooper units are a cut above lesser conscripts and peasant militia. Armed with the new AK-47 rifle and a variety of support weapons, Soviet troopers are determined defenders.
